One tank or bust

When Danni Brancaccio returned home from college on break she was excited about her summer job as a clerk for the downtown Portland law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine.
But the high cost of gas and the entire greenhouse issue concered the 20-year-old Northwestern University Junior. The round-trip commute to Portland and back, regular visits with high school friends and other normal out-and-about needs would add up.
Danni was always environmentally conscious during her high school years at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics. While there she also learned the importance of setting goals.
So she set a goal.
Get through the entire summer using only one tank of gas. Could she and her 1997 Honda Civic and with a 12 gallon gas tank, make it? Stay tuned.
